The RanksPlayers will be rank by a letter E -> X. Within each letter-rank is a set of three levels 1-3. Most players can expect to start out in the C-3 -> B1 range depending on the quality of the application, the time they've been on the site, among other things. You will spend currency points to move up in these ranks until you reach the top. Each letter rank requires a certain amount of currency points to spend before you can level up. That amount of required currency is stagnant throughout the various levels within a letter but differs letter tier to letter tier.
In the first area below, you will find the various levels and a rough idea of what that level is capable of and how strong they might be. The second area is the number of experience points it takes to move between that letter ranks levels. If you were though going to between letters, like C-1 to B-3, you would pay the high rank's cost.

General StatsThese are the general stats your player will utilize while on the site. If you are the same letter rank and level, as an enemy, typically you will be an even match power-wise and it will come down to skills and equipment to see who would win. Though, if you are strong or weak in a certain stat area, this outcome could change. If you are strong in that area, you will be considered 1 rank higher than normal of your level. For instance, if two players who were both level A-2 clashed in a melee brawl, person A has physical strength listed as a strength while person B has it listed as a weakness. Person's A physical strength would act like that of a A-1, while person B's would act like A-3. We are somewhat freeform in our combat system and let players decide things among themselves. If staff needs to, they will interrupt the thread and pass their judgment.
When selecting your strengths and weaknesses, please remember that you must have only 1 weakness than strength. You may also only have up to 4 strengths at the time. Don't worry, over time players will be given the chance to improve upon their weaknesses or their average stats to make them better. These opportunities are typically awarded after major events for the site.

Flames, Rings, and Boxes At the current moment, there are 7 Undying Flames. These are the 7 Flames of the Sky. Below you will see the flames, their attribute, and the rarity of that flame. While you may pick any flame you desire upon starting, Sky flames will be harshly graded and you may only have two characters using that flame type. When starting, you may select two flames if you have Dying Will Familiarity listed as a strength. Over time, players can potentially learn new flames but again, this will be harshly dependent on if you have Dying Will Familiarity as a strength and if it would make sense with your character arc. If you have Dying Will Familiarity as a weakness, at most you will ever learn is two flame types. Rings and BoxesRings and Boxes both come in a rarity grade that mirrors that of the player's letter ranks without the levels. Lower ranked rings are rare to come by as are boxes though they will break if used by those with strong Dying Wills. Rings: After word got out about the Mafia's use of rare minerals to bring out an almost magical force, the hunt was on. Many countries and private organizations begun manufacturing the rings at an alarming rate. Now, most citizens have at least an E class ring when they finally learn to access their dying will. Higher quality sources of the minerals were rare to come by making rings over A class seem almost unheard of, though it is said that the heads of the mafias and several countries each have one or two.
When you are able to manifest your flame onto a ring, it will naturally increase one of your physical stats by 1 tier. This will remain active until you stop using your flame. This does not really draw much energy from you at later ranks but at lower ones, it could wear them down quickly. Boxes: While rings are rather common items, boxes are another story. In most countries, they are banned in some form. At most, E class boxes are allowed for their practical everyday use. Boxes that are more combat-oriented are often confiscated by police on raids. They are manufactured but it is clear that the level class boxes are of a poor tier. Still, higher class boxes do exist. There is said to be a total of five master craftsmen of boxes, each with their own signature style and flair.
To use a box, you must first have a ring of matching type and of rarity grade that can open the box. When boxes open they will consume a large number of flames but typically either will run off that initial amount, replenish their flames from you, or replenish their flames from an external source. We trust players to have judgement on their flame management. If you have Flame Reserves as a strength, it is much more believable for you to be able to last in long drawn out battles. Generally speaking, the higher the rarity, abilities, or both will determine the number of flames that it requires to operate and maintain such a box.
Boxs will typically be stated to be either Mass Produced or they will be a Designer Made, which are those created by the people listed above. Massed Produced typically are not rare nor do they have special abilities/skills outside their man functions. Boxes can be comboed with each other to produce different scenarios. A good example of this is Gukudera's System C.A.I that had a primary item (his Flame Arrow) that has different abilities or skills when presented with a different box.

Banned and Limited AbilitiesFor one reason or another, the following abilities are typically banned or limited greatly in their capacity. If you wish to try to make skills/abilities focused around one of the things listed below, please consult with staff first. We are rather open to letting these abilities being used, we just want to ensure that they're not site breaking in concept. Typically any ability that is listed below will be given via shops and created by the staff. These items should be expected to be scarce in existence and cost quite a bit of money. - Time Manipulation - The 10-Year Bazooka and similar skills last small periods of time (up to 3 posts) and can only be used once a thread per person. Abilities that revolve around manipulating time to some degree will be heavily graded and restricted.
- Mimic/Copy - These abilities are allowed but will result in your copies being typically weaker in some form or fashion to the original. They will almost act like the Sky Flame's weakness when they use other flames' rings/boxes.
- Earth Dying Will Flames - These are not on the site for a reason at the moment. We will not allow any abilities that mimic those of the Earth Dying Will Flames to be used at the moment. We know they overlap with the Sky Flames in terms of skills, just do not blatantly rip off the Earth Dying Flames.
- Omnipitance/Omnipresence - You cannot have abilities that let you know everything going on everywhere or allow you to be everywhere at once. You can have skills that can spy on others and teleportation is limited but still viable.
- Reality Warping - We are not talking illusions here but the ability to permanently change reality based on your whims.
- Multiple Sense Distortion/Controlling - Illusions are strong but they are not strong enough to fully entrap all senses of a person completely. There has to be some sort of flaw in an illusion to some degree.
- Radioactive/Nuclear - We're not trying to start WWIII here, please keep nukes away.
- Teleportation - Is allowed in some manner but these skills are very limited and would take a great deal of energy to utilize. Making them not always the best choice in direct combat but better for escape or setting things up.
- Flame of Night - Along the lines of teleportation, Flame of Night is not currently available to players and is only used by the NPCs controlled by staff. At a later date, this may change.
- Vector/Gravity Manipulation - Seeing how this an ability mainly shown by the Earth Flame, it is not allowed in any manner by the Sky Flames. Skills that warp vectors/gravity around will typically not be allowed or have very limited uses if used by a flame outside that of the Earth Flame.
- Immortality/Hyper Regeneration - The Sun Flame does have high regeneration capacity but it has its limits. Players cannot have their whole bodies ripped in two and expect to make a full recovery. Remember, the more the Sun Flame has to regenerate the longer it takes and the more energy it requires from the Sun user.
- Auto-Targeting - While these skills do exist and we are not going to ban them outright; auto-targeting/hitting abilities will need some heavy downsides. These abilities also should have some ways to avoid or trick the attack as well.
- Reflection - We're not totally against throwing attacks back at an enemy but these sorts of skills shouldn't be spammable and show have some heavy limitations of their own.
- Negation - While certain flames do hold powers that would let them negate skills and abilities, these uses should be limited and avoidable somehow. You shouldn't have the power to completely shut somebody down for extended periods of time with just a single skill.
- Resurrection - We don't allow this sort of skill/ability at all.
